Those childhood summers
Posted on Sun, 17 Jul 2016
Those childhood summers seemed to last a life-time. If I miss anything about childhood it would be the glorious summers at the ocean. Really lovely post, Penny.
Thank you, PS. It's encouraging that I find myself writing upbeat songs about my son. It helps to write and share. As the saying goes, We'll never get over it, but we will get through it.
My singing is usually more laid back, Kevin. But it felt good singing it. It's now part of my kitchen-table repotoire. We must hook up one time and write one together. Thanks for letting me do this.
Made me a bit sad. Not always a bad thing, really. Read it a half dozen times. 'Says goodbye to brief live and all that might have been' is the when that gets me. Much enjoyed, Tina.
You're right on the mark regarding people who feel they din't fit and that they don't matter. It's sickens me to know we live in a world that would treat people as such. We have similar issues here in the US. politicians jabbering reforms, then...
