Poems

The poems I have written throughout the years.

Returning Home

I left you-broken on the floor Turned my back on the world-and on you You were always there-but I never saw you-blinded by hate Always ready to pick me up when I fell Instead I pushed you away

Arena

The metallic smell of blood Mixes with the sand As it spills from yet another victim

Become

What have I become? I look in the mirror and the face that reflects back Isn’t mine, or is it? That porcelain skin Those distant eyes surrounded by dark circles

Today

Today, I thought of you, and a smile spread across my face My mind recalling the memories we shared Your heartfelt laughs and bearlike hugs Always telling me to do my best and to never give up
