New words

How about a little challenge, as it's a rather quiet on here today.

So all you have to do is come up with a new word that could be used in everyday language. I would start but am just home from uni and my brain is frazzled!

A.

Squirrels pinching my bulbs.

Any advice on how to stop squirrels nicking bulbs? My crocuses are prey to a big cocky white-chested brute of a squirrel this year; the bugger even sneaks down behind my back and digs while I'm in the garden. Looking around online, I find the standard advice is to lay wire netting - but I want to add plants above the bulbs (cyclamen and such).

Hi I am steadily working through a novel Is anyone else doing the same who would like me to critique theres if they could do the same for me. Or just give some points of view on it.

Just now i am on a sticking point at tenses when writing and not sure if what i have written is working well.

Ho hum...

Not much happening here today...

30th Wedding Anniversary

It's ours - today. Me and the missis. Never known how to refer to her - nor she to me. We hate husband/wife. We dislike the pious 'partner' - we're married! 'The other half' 'him/her indoors' and all the other euphemisms have drawbacks. Maybe I'll just stick to her name - Chrisa.

Still, it's an achievement I reckon. And we have three lovely grown-up kids who still talk to us, who live independent and fulfilling lives and who go merrily along, making their own mistakes but not often repeating ours.

I feel very special today.

I went to the dentist the other day... by will2

I love this!

It's just so... irreverent. Don't know what it's part of, or even if it is part of anything, or if it simply is what it is - a rant about the exuberant cost of dentistry. I don't even know if it's meant to be funny, but it made me laugh. Feels somewhat like a standup routine - cf. Jack Dee or the like.

Anyway, whatever it's "meant" to be, keep'em coming, will2!
