The Back Room

In the back room, a man sleeps. He dreams of waking up. Out front, a man tends a garden. He is showing the world he is alive. Passing by, an onlooker pauses. He sees through to the back room. He sees the man's dreams.

The Trouble with Life

Happy, is the sun on my face on a mid-summer's day, the snow all Christmas and by winter to have gone away, the wind in my sail in times of doubt, and the rain in the desert in solicitous drought.
