You did a good job with this poem - showing both the emotions of the football hopes and then disappontment, and the awful abuse that followed. Well done.
This is a beautiful tribute to a loved one. I very much enjoyed reading it. My husband is buried in a woodland cemetery, so there is no headstone or even indication where he is. I think one of the trees which is 99% dead marks...
This story deserves more reads as it is very good. You paint a very vivid picture of the Man and basically the story of what life and death is all about.
