Reginald Grünenberg, born 1963 in Lübeck/Germany, has studied in Paris, Munich and Berlin. He holds a PhD in political science, history and philosophy. He was a business consultant and entrepreneur frequently travelling to Japan. In 2008 he was elected by the European Commission to take part in the Executive Training Programme in Tokyo and became a certified expert on Japan. He has published three non-fiction books and writes frequently for German newspapers and magazines.
