Chapter 1: Classroom Six

Dire consequences are set in place in this first story when Katie, the new girl to the school, is unjustly sent to Classroom Six by the grumpy English teacher, Mr Jacks.

Chapter 1 The Noise outside.

Suddenly she heard the sound of voices, echoing from the darkness outside. Opening the window wider and straining her ears, she screwed up her face in an effort to make sense of the muffled words in the distance. Two voices, one was definitely female shouting hysterically, "NO¦ STOP IT, Noooo¦. Intermingling with the high pitch voice, she was sure she could hear deep, menacing male tones, but she could make no sense of his words. ....................................... Inside was a small metallic object. Pushing her glasses up her nose, she carefully tipped it out into her hand.

Just the Ticket

Jake woke up with a start as the train rattled noisily across a series of railway points. Slowly he became aware of someone putting their hand into his jacket pocket. "What the hell do you think you're doing! he yelled, grabbing hold of the hand and throwing it back to its owner.

Katie's Box Chapter 7. The Final Test.

A soft pink glow lit up the eight compartments inside and the tiny locks on top of the wire doors, glinted in the eerie light. Katie cooed at the creatures locked inside the cubicles and dropped in a few silver grains for them to eat, but her eyes flashed red as she peered into the top left-hand section. Cogrose was missing.

Katie's Box Chapter 6. Puffing Millie.

Millie pulled her sister Penny down the dark stairs and stood her beside the boiler room door. Pulling out the gold packet from her pocket, she handed it to Penny and bent down to retrieve the lighter from the bottom of her bag. "Get one out then. whispered Millie, as the area around them lit up from the flame of the lighter.
