Geoffrey and Geraldine were giraffes and the zoo's oldest residents and they were desperate to have a baby, geraldine was so unhappy "its not fair" She sobbed Robert their keeper came indoors to give them their breakfasts but he had bought a surprise with him too he had bought the vet who had a very special machine with him. Geraldine looked at Geoffrey, she wondered what it was and jumped as the vet put the machine to her tummy and listened. "whats he doing to my tummy, he's tickling me" she said to Geoffrey, the vet smiled and nodded to robert, "good girl Geraldine" said robert patting her gently on her tummy "you're gonna be a mummy" he said. Geraldine looked at robert, and then at geoffrey and smiled now she was happy, she knew she would have to be patient for the baby would take 14 months to get here, but she felt sure she would be fine.
