Hello! I am an old crone who very much enjoys reading SF, urban fantasy and horror. I write all sorts, some of it SF, urban fantasy and horror, a lot of it not. Sometimes I can even be funny, so I'm told. My short stories have appeared in the anthologies 'Cold Iron: Ghost Stories from the 21st Century' (Iron Press) and 'Science Fiction For Survival: An Archive For Mars' (Valley Press), as well as in magazines ranging from the literary magazine 'Dreamcatcher' to 'Writing Magazine' and 'The People's Friend' (the latter definitely not SF, urban fantasy or horror). I do regular local spoken word events, and needless to say there is a novel on the go. My new website is currently under construction, and you are cordially invited to come and have a peep at the blogs and free stories there. You can even go mad and sign up for my newsletter! Plus the usual social media stuff. All details below. Thanks for dropping in! (Oh, the picture is of my highly critical personal editor.)

Thank you, Jenny! Ah, dolls' hospitals! I remember taking a couple of precious dolls to be nursed back to life there. It was such a lovely concept. I had several of those dolls in national costume - they were all the rage then. I used to put...

I found this very moving, celtic - not at all related to the fact that I too have basal skin carcinoma! A really involving portrait of your Dad.

I love the feeling of motion and the urgency of growth in this, Rhiannon. It's a lovely thing to read.

So many congratulations on Flamingo, Drew - it's a great piece of work and I'm so pleased it's going to be published. I hope lots of ABC Talers will read this piece, too - it can happen, even when you think it never will!

I think Girlfriend feels
Posted on Wed, 29 Apr 2020
I think Girlfriend feels pretty much the same as you do about it - she'll play along if it keeps her beloved and his mad family happy. I was brought up on quizzes - my dad used to start compiling the next Christmas one at the beginning of...
