I was born in Ashford Common, Middlesex, I attended the local Secondary Modern School where a certain English teacher Told me never to do anything that involved writing. I've yet to decide whether he was right.

I'm a man of many talents. That's my way of saying that I've done a lot of things. From Lab assistant to Washing Machine technician, from College lecturer to running a village post office, I've done them all.

!n 1996 My wife and I spent a year in Romania running a small children's home.

I graduated from University of Kent in 1994 with an honours degree in Computer Systems Engineering.

I first dabbled with writing in the 1980s when I wrote for a computer magazine. The mag went the way of many others and I didn't write again until I retired and had time on my hands.
