a great ending - driving off in the sunset and hopefully happier things!
it must be really difficult, because it is his story as you say (and how brilliant that he's forgotten) - but it's also your story and I can't even begin to imagine how traumatic it was for you
I love the jackdaw bits if it helps! - and I hope you do put more in about what happened, but it's going to be difficult if you're doing it from the child's POV. It's definitely a story that needs to be told
we don't have them here as far as I know, or at least they don't seem to be as unwilded as in some areas - how frightening that they swooped at your cat!! Beautiful creatures though, as is this poem
I don't remember the social worker having a name before - perhaps you could add her job along with her name when she's first mentioned in this part? I'm really enjoying this Di - please keep going!
Ladybell, please don't worry about giving the wrong impression - 20 is still very young. I think we all assumed you were UK based and when we say 'school' here we mean actual school (4 - 18) whereas in many other countries it can also mean...
