I particularly liked your description of the formica Belarus deluxe model lift - it sounds both terrifying and hilarious. Thank you for sharing your story of the splendid Maria - very much enjoyed!
I think the couple and Sandra were both at fault really. I would never leave a big dog like that with someone who didn't know them - it was a disaster waiting to happen for everyone (including blueberry) - but I'm very glad it didn't end that way

I enjoyed this - aren't crows supposed to presage disaster? They're such maligned birds - I have a family group who visit my garden daily and they're so beautiful and very clever too
