A way of dealing with my lost past

It took me five years to interview residents from my town. I wanted to leave history of the town where I lived; following the loss of my dad and his family. I knew that family roots were important. It was because of my paternal severed past that I set about recording the lives of other people; in memory of my lost family.

All of these stories came about following the loss of my family

Mick Betts I was born here on the 10th April 1945 just two weeks before the war finished and was born at Eastfield Crescent.
