Hello! I am an old crone who very much enjoys reading SF, urban fantasy and horror. I write all sorts, some of it SF, urban fantasy and horror, a lot of it not. Sometimes I can even be funny, so I'm told. My short stories have appeared in the anthologies 'Cold Iron: Ghost Stories from the 21st Century' (Iron Press) and 'Science Fiction For Survival: An Archive For Mars' (Valley Press), as well as in magazines ranging from the literary magazine 'Dreamcatcher' to 'Writing Magazine' and 'The People's Friend' (the latter definitely not SF, urban fantasy or horror). I do regular local spoken word events, and needless to say there is a novel on the go. My new website is currently under construction, and you are cordially invited to come and have a peep at the blogs and free stories there. You can even go mad and sign up for my newsletter! Plus the usual social media stuff. All details below. Thanks for dropping in! (Oh, the picture is of my highly critical personal editor.)

Absolutely love the take on the IP, and the concept of the 'it' girl. It's the simple things that often bring most satisfaction

The magic of the not quite

The magic of the not quite everyday. 'Listened to the last rays of the sun' - a wonderful image, and welcoming time as a warm cloak speaks of peace hard won. A beautiful piece, Tina.

This is a really interesting read - I love the mix of fact and personal reminiscence. I've never read 'A Kid For Two Farthings' but I remember seeing the film on telly years ago. As far as I recall Diana Dors was in it - which sounds unlikely...

I like the fact that there is no compromise in this - it is a genuine shock when there is no rescue for Dawn. The crows convey so well the sense of a primeval power at work, and I felt the story was at its best in the passages describing that...

Reads much smoother and if anything even creepier! Absorbing and disturbing.

I really like this - very descriptive and I like the circular construction. Genuine feeling of malice and the pacing works really well.
I think it needs a bit of proof reading - there are some bits I had to read over a couple of times to...

Hi, welcome to ABC Tales.

Hi, welcome to ABC Tales.
Interesting opening and lots of potential for moving forward. I think it would benefit from some proof-reading - there's a mix of tenses in the beginning which is confusing for the reader, and in your penultimate...

I watched the recent TV series on the Inca - they had a similar idea of different layers or types of time co-existing for each individual. Fascinating.
