My stories

I know you are near

Now as I look, For the last time, As I weep, I know you are near.

Little Child

A light so small, yet so strong, A beam that carries hope. A beacon of love is what you are. You look at the world with innocent eyes, Your smile is that of an angel. You are a child.

Romany Bonds

In this life, there are people who believe that nothing happens by coincidence, how we arrive at the big moments in our lives may not follow a distinct pattern, but the events themselves are predestined, laid down in a plan created by one or more higher beings. There are also those who believe that through many lifetimes we travel within a group of souls whom we are destined to meet up with time and time again. If both of these are to be taken as truth, then surely it would also stand to reason that the various journeys a soul makes before it finally reaches eternal rest are all part of the larger plan. Delicately interwoven strands mix and cross to form part of a complex matrix, which we will only ever understand a small fraction of, for in this cosmic spider's web, each individual soul is nothing more than a single thread.

Living in the Shadows

My parents were long since dead. Caught by the hunters and slain before my eyes. Of course the hunters did not know that my sister and I had been hiding in the wardrobe on that day. They were unaware that we children were present, both of us just ten years old. We fended for ourselves from that moment, vowing there and then that one day someone would pay for the loss of the two people we looked up to and respected, who provided us with shelter, knowledge, all that children need. I headed out into the night with my sister, my constant companion, and we made our way through the winding streets, keeping to the back alleys as was our custom. We never strayed onto the main streets; we had learnt to keep to the shadows until we knew we were somewhere safe.
