Little Child

A light so small, yet so strong,
A beam that carries hope.
A beacon of love is what you are.
You look at the world with innocent eyes,
Your smile is that of an angel.
You are a child.

Why you are chosen,
Why you will leave,
Why you instead of me,
I cannot answer.
I know it is part of the great plan
And I know that you are loved.
