Good use of the ole "unreliable narrator"

You do a good job of giving an honest glimpse into the mind of someone who is justifying their own actions by blaming the other person. Good job.

This is very helpful. Just to clarify, Hazel is not the name of the main character, but the word on the sign she encounters just before discovering the slave chambers. Was that not clear? If not, I'll go back and try to clarify. I guess maybe the...

I just joined ABCTales, and I've learned that it's a UK site. This is demonstrated by this most British piece of writing- I assume the author is British, because no American or Canadian (which I am) could make birdwatching this poetic.
