I Loved Him

It was his fault. All his fault. I still don't know how it happened, it just did. It was an ordinary morning now that I think of it. A slight grey drizzle perforated the sky and sprinkled on my windscreen like a light dusting of icing sugar. Raining again. I was on my way there, late as ever, weaving in and out of lanes like a yo-yo, desperate to get to the front of each queue; I had never been known to be patient.
