Lovely use of language - as Paul says, the theme of the ticking clock wound so cleverly through the whole thing. Now you must write the story of the cello - as it can have a very mournful sound, it's ideal for a not so happy ending!

I love the retelling of folk tales. This is a great ending to the familiar story. As the old woman opens the door, all seems as we expect it to be, and then such a lovely twist at the end. The descriptive language is wonderful, too. Very well...
