I love this poem - there is something very comforting about the simplicity. "Children will be fed - warm in new hides". If only we could be so grateful for life's necessities rather than all the faff that we surround ourselves with.

Sad and wistful - I really understood this poem. It reminded me of something my husband said yesterday, I thought he said to me "come here darling and give me a kiss" but what he actually said was  "I need the toilet, can you watch the kids"....
