I'm enjoying this story while I have my lunch. Some of it sounds so familiar. You created the atmosphere of the pubs on Christmas Eve really well too, felt like I was back in the early 90s at the pubs I used to go to after work on Christmas Eve...
You come across as such a humanitarian Kris. The concern you feel not only for your team, but also for the people you all save shines through like a light in the darkness.
I hope you manage to get rested up over this period of Christmas...
you took me through a wild mid-winter landscape, I coud feel the cold consuming me as I read. If I closed my eyes I could see the Red fox sniffing around the snow for food, and the howls of wolves.
this is a seasonal poem that children will love. The snow in the garden has definitely made me feel more Christmasy. I love the snowman in the picture too.

Hi mono,
I didn't realize there was an epilogue. What a wonderful way to finish your story. I'm so glad it got pick of the day...really deserved.
Hope you have a great Christmas and the New Year hold everything you ever wanted....

Glorious poem Rhiannon. You've captured so much beauty of the season, and the weather we're experiencing at the moment.
