Very strong piece. Serenity of the tree seems chosen for its calm and then you contrast it with that abrupt, unnatural paring down. My mum's motto, amongst many others, is 'Not all willows will weep.'

This is gorgeous. So personal and yet so accessible because of the rustic farm imagery, a man that reflects the cycles of the seasons. This man's a dream.

This captures lots of strands of being a woman yet it's subtle. Some people despair when I dare to bring gender in to it but there's a sense of two identities here, inner and outer, garden and town, chemical and earth.

How you toy with your reader, frantic just to feel safe and shelter in the uncertain shadows of your dark voice. The civilised city scenes contrast well with your untamed beasts. Implies punitive state control measures and the primitive natures...
