My stories

Rogue Morpheus

Rogue Morpheus The thoughts that rear up at night in the brain, tearing around like a rail-less train The things to do or not yet done, things to say and songs unsung Tumbling around like an acrobat flying, I cannot sleep and there's no use trying

Ned Kulchur

The Ballad of Ned Kulchur I left the Kingdom of Fife and I carried my knife To Auld Reekie and old Glesga toon With the others I'd play that I met on the way To wreak havoc a' up and doon. Ned Kulchur

The Man WHo Ate His Computer

The Man Who Ate His Computer Again he couldn't sleep and the permutations, ruminations and ramifications of what he was about to do whizzed chaotically around in his brain keeping him alert and wired. He got up, taking a moment to sit on the edge of the bed for a moment allowing himself to awaken fully although he hadn't been anywhere near sleep. 'A man your age should be taking things easy,' the Doctor said and he never argued. It was always easier, outwardly at least, to comply.

Keeping the Fifth

Keeping the Fifth They say I cain eat anythang I want but I aint like the other bears in this heah alley. I think 'bout tellin' 'em I be 'shamed to meet the Lord and my belly swollen with food, but in the end I aint say nothin'. The growler in the next cell eatin' now and even through the thick walls I heah him plain - chewin', guzzlin', swallowin'. He got a steak so big it hang off the plate both sides. I seen it. Separate dishes of cream potatoes, spinach, onions an' fresh cornbread too. When he done scrape the plate fo' the las' time they gonna bring him cake but to my mind jest aint no purpose. One minute past midnight he jest as dead as me.
