Hello,

Most of my writing is done from a battered old sofa in north Leicestershire. Sometimes I also get to write from my favourite corner of Leicester's very own self-proclaimed literary pub, The Salmon. It has a writer-in-residence which, needless to say, isn't me.

To me the best part about writing is its unpredictabity, the way your characters grow legs. Situations pop out of nowhere and plots develop in unexpected ways. It's as though once you start writing the story trundles off by itself dragging you along with it, and you write away like mad trying to keep up.

The end product often suprises me. I'm more likely to be asked to be writer-in-residence for the Basil Brush Show than any institution with lofty literary aspirations. It's fun though.

I have written elsewhere on the internet as Jack Crowe but I use my real name whenever there is a prospect of being published anywhere where non-writers might read it. Such a show-off.

Thanks for reading.

Ian Lewis.

Thank you.

Haha I wrote it to be have a word count of less than a thousand words. Leaving the reader wanting more is great as long as it doesn't feel incomplete. I'd like to know how you feel about that.

I love how you have made it...
