I used to have a profile, but it disappeared so I am writing this to bring things up to date.  First off, I love this site so much it has made such a difference to my life.  Now, if I write something and I post it to ABC it will get read by someone and if it's any way decent then it can get read by quite a number of people.  I feel my writing has improved and that is, in the main, because of the help I have received from quite a few people on here.  I don't feel qualified to give in depth feedback although I try to help with the more obvious errors, but I mainly like to encourage people as I feel that is the best way for me to give something back .

The other reason I feel indebted to this site is the comments people have made about my work has increased my confidence no end.  Before, I would never show anything I had written to anyone other than my husband and his response was always, 'Yes dear, very good.'

So thank you ABC Tales and thank you to all the people who have commented on what I, laughingly,  call, my work.

Hello Di,

Thank you for the read and comment.  As for eavesdropping, I feel like that too sometimes and yet without me they don't exist.

Hello Elsie,

Hello Elsie,

The argument you put forward here is a powerful one.  I think women have always had to fight for what men take for granted.  I think it was Golda Mairher, the Israeli Prime Minister who, when she was in power and was told that...

Hello Luigi,

Hello Luigi,

This poem resonates with me as I have two nephews who like a flutter.  Well, more than a flutter actually.  When read aloud there is a sort of rhythm that is reminiscent of a horse race in progress.  Something like the poem by...

Oh,  Rhiannon,

Oh,  Rhiannon,

This was such a poetic description of Spring.  As I read it I thought of the buds on the roses I'd just pruned and the daffodils pushing their way up and the trees gradually becoming green.

I'm so glad you are still...

Hello Rhiannon,

I said I would get back on here to read some of your work but I have only been able to dabble here and there through lack of time.  However, as I have a bit of time now, I thought I would read some of yours.

Well,...

Celtic,

Where do you get your ideas from?  I enjoyed this piece very much and found it quirky and amusing.  I particularly liked 'Casper...his hair went on holiday.'

Have a good Christmas,

All of this is so good but the very best for me is ' ...she settled with the only company she had ever felt secure in, the running commentary of her mind.'  Loved that and also '...melted into meaningless.'  Wonderful!  Congratulations on a...

Hello

Hello

I did enjoy this. It was a story that sprung from good observation of human nature  because I've been one of  the circling predators , but get qute indignant if someone circles me.

Hello Bee,

Hello Bee,

It's so hard to say goodbye.   I know how I feel when I've had a house full and then they all go home.   I wander about the house hating the silence, but I console myself with thinking  about the good time we've all had being...
