I used to have a profile, but it disappeared so I am writing this to bring things up to date.  First off, I love this site so much it has made such a difference to my life.  Now, if I write something and I post it to ABC it will get read by someone and if it's any way decent then it can get read by quite a number of people.  I feel my writing has improved and that is, in the main, because of the help I have received from quite a few people on here.  I don't feel qualified to give in depth feedback although I try to help with the more obvious errors, but I mainly like to encourage people as I feel that is the best way for me to give something back .

The other reason I feel indebted to this site is the comments people have made about my work has increased my confidence no end.  Before, I would never show anything I had written to anyone other than my husband and his response was always, 'Yes dear, very good.'

So thank you ABC Tales and thank you to all the people who have commented on what I, laughingly,  call, my work.

All of this is so good but

All of this is so good but the very best for me is ' ...she settled with the only company she had ever felt secure in, the running commentary of her mind.'  Loved that and also '...melted into meaningless.'  Wonderful!  Congratulations on a...

Hello

I did enjoy this. It was a story that sprung from good observation of human nature  because I've been one of  the circling predators , but get qute indignant if someone circles me.

Hello Bee,

Hello Bee,

It's so hard to say goodbye.   I know how I feel when I've had a house full and then they all go home.   I wander about the house hating the silence, but I console myself with thinking  about the good time we've all had being...

Hello Bee,

Just read this and the sense of tranquility and quiet reflection really came across to me.  I loved this line

' fine anchored wishes to be moored with just our words'

We need poets like you to show us the world...

Bee,

This is such a lovely expression of your feelings for your kitten.  I found it very moving so much so that it made me cry.  There are so many lines in this that touched me deeply partly because my Lincoln is lying beside me now.  I...

Dearest Bee,

Dearest Bee,

I have just read this and I can so empathise with you  about the loneliness.  I remember how I felt when I was in pain and told by a not unkind nurse that everything would be alright I would soon get used to wearing  a wee bag...

Hello Tina,

This is another significant poem to add to your collection.  Beautiful but tragic.  Still you manage to write so well and if the poem concerns your daughter I am always struck by the wistful longing that lies just beneath the...

Hello Tina,

So sad when life gets in the way of love. Beautifully expressed as usual.

Bee,

You are pretty wonderful.  I am so glad you will have all your family home to spoil you  and give you comfort.  I think of you often and I hope the outcome is the one that you would choose for yourself.

Hello Bee,

Vera is right when she speaks of the sensory and emotional experience. I sometimes think the emotional impact is often forgotten by the nursing staff.  I haven't had an MRI scan, but I did have a brain scan and like insert they...
