I am a Brummie living in Northampton. I love to write but get distracted with other things. I enjoy horror/fantasy and anything that provokes original thought. My literary heroes are Clive Barker, Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe and HP Lovecraft.

I think that everyone should read George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-four .

I have short stories published in a horror anthology by @thealienbuddha, anthology Vol.IV by @LoftPublishing and flash fiction at @paragraphplanet.

Poems of mine have been published by @thealienbuddha.

I have new stories being published in 2023 by @darkwinterlit along with appearing in anthologies by @thealienbuddha and @LoftPublishing (Both the Halloween anthology and ABZ55 at ABP and Anthology Vol V at Loft).

So glad I read this. The Damned are one of my favourite bands and Capitano Sensible is a hero from my teens. He just had to make number one with a song from "South Pacific" lol. And now I know what happened to the parrot!

Oh thank you. It's a wonderful poem, of course. Weeping Willows are amongst my favourite trees. It feels like they have a story to tell, each and every one. And we should listen, of course. Thank you. Paul x

"More haste, less speed". I imagine most people have had a similar experience. It's a big world and easy to lose someone in it for a while. I enjoyed the diary entry, drama and all (I have driven through Royal Wootton Bassett if it's the one down...

Nicely done. Analogies are easy to get wrong, especially original pieces of writing. You have put a lot of thought into this and it works well. Great stuff. Paul
