So much you've taught me
Posted on Fri, 20 May 2022
So much you've taught me about the lilly of the valley in this poem. Like Jane I'd never heard it called Eve's Tears. Such a pretty flower that I have'nt seen around for quite a while, so it was great to be reminded in your significant poem....
I'm fine, it was dreaming of an old friend and recalling a time in my life when I was in a bad situation and ended up sleeping one night on the streets which was very scary. I'm a very emotional person, and get effected by other people saddness,...
Um! The plot thickens. You pick up on the characters so well, and the conversation between Martha and Dillon had me engrossed, I got quite lost in the story and felt as if I was a fly on the wall. Brilliant piece of writing Penny.
I can imagine the black bird watching crow and wanting to imitate, but no caw coming. The clouds grinning with white teeth, reminded me of scrying the cheshire cat in Alice In Wonderland.
The sky frowned and soured itself into a storm......
Please...please keep going with this story. As you know I love adventures, and Mary is certainly on one big adventure. Mary's impression of the social worker is typical of a child who is unsure of what to believe, but although she's running away...

What a gorgous poem of new

What a gorgous poem of new beginnings and bursting fourth in expectancy of what's to come.
I enjoyed the metaphor of self seeding and attention to detail too.

Hi Jane, this is a new turn

Hi Jane, this is a new turn of events. I wonder if Cece will be cut out for motherhood! St John doesn't seem as keen.
Looking forward to finding out what happens next.
Jenny.
