Now I still feel the same inside.

I thought the original was supposed to be referring to political events metaphorically somehow. Though I think when younger just liked the ryime structure of it and thought it showed love for robins!

What is quartz like on the beach? Is it just a clear crystalline substaance or is it those flint lumps with grey on the outside?
I was struck by those last lines. Absorbed with measuring time, but not knowing how to meditate or look around...
