Afternoon drifted on as the sun moved slowly from South around towards West, casting leafy shadows across the lush green lawn. Alice was oblivious to...
Standing at the door that led off from the kitchen down to what her husband called, 'the wine cellar,' Alice bit her bottom lip feeling a slight edge...
Alice was awoken suddenly in the early hours of the morning by the crashing sound of thunder and din of heavy rain pelting against her bedroom window...
Sorry I nearly missed this poem Rhiannon. I can't put into words how much I agree with you about parents on mobile phones. It breaks my heart when I see children crying out for attention, only to have a dummy stuck in their mouth, or a bag of...
I was most interested in your piece writing, and how you evoke the positive ideas in helping young children, to which I'm in full agreement with. Having been a nanny looking after an 18 month old child till she went to school, I believe it's not...
"I am referring, Archibold, to the unfortunate occasion on which you took it upon yourself to overtake the hearse in the funeral procession, whilst driving the car carrying the immediate relatives of the deceased."
I'm not sure why, but I got a sense of The Wizard Of Oz while reading your story. I love your imagination for originality, it shines through in your writing.
I was so immersed in your story Paul. It makes me wonder about all the missing people that seem to vanish into thin air, especially in places like the Alaskan Triangle, and the Bermuda Triangle.
Another great instalment where nothing ever seems to go to plan for Amber and Lawrence. I also thought the dream sequence of D.S. Stone at the beginning was so funny, but could imagine quite a nightmare for him.
What a great story. I love

Some great use of metaphors in this poem Rhiannon, especially;
Like a chrysalis, bud breaks
shoot bursts out like a butterfly.
Such a wonderful image portrayed.
Enjpyed.
