What a wonderful walk to capture in a poem, and on a bright clear day where you can see for miles. A walk to look back on with fond memories, especially with those wonderful photos too.
Hi Maxine, I know what you mean about the birds nests up in the naked trees. We have a couple in our garden trees and I often wonder what type of birds made them.
I had no idea about this bird, so went to look it up. How amazing they are, and your poem describes perfectly their ability to fly over such long distances and know when and where to fuel up.
