Di Hard, that lady in the Post Office must have been an angel! I've been that broke too and am down to my last beans now. One year, I had only £1 in my purse. I stayed in and wrote four letters to go in Christmas cards I couldn't afford to post....
Well, you drew me in with the title, my favourite Christmas song. I read it several times, each time liking it more, and it seemed as if I could hear them singing it. So Happy Christmas!
Thank you very much! But don't underestimate yourself! Your poems are always very good and you have your own lovely style. As for me being busy - well, I've just finished work for the holidays as I'm term time only. I've blocked my mind to it and...
I love the feeling of going from the uncertainty and sense of cold on the beach to the warmth at the end. Also - the wash wash wash and eroding and soft as sand - with a feeling of patience and acceptance. Liked it a lot.
Aboloutely lovely. The pace of it is so still, like panning round a wide shot slowly. I especially liked the treble clef hose. All of it is really imaginative.

I also loved that coming home last part. It anchors everything that went before.

You caught a moment beautifully. I love the sound of the wood pigeon.

There's a line from you/your pen to the sparrow hawk, like a kite on the end of a piece of string. Keeps you looking up. Lovely poem.

Beautiful, both in words and pace. Again, your last lines are worth waiting for.
