I live to and love to write too Ice - so I completely identify with your feelings about waking up with a story in your head. And I absolutely loved 'the leaky boat conversation review' after your conversation with Cedric. It’s funny to live near...
What a lovely metaphor -birds to children- their playful antics and hungry frenzy are very relatable. Your poem is sweetly reminiscent of time passing and life changing and oh yes, that lovely gift from time – wrinkles.
Your best was well appreciated. Thank you for this story and you are not alone in your frustration- There is no one leading this band of runners - no markers have been posted to point the way out, except for the grim ones and now some don’t want...

keeping up with the jones...what a lovely take on neighbors, as birds. I truly loved this little story and will have to find the first parts to read now.

What a smart bird, a fur lined nest, warm and cozy. The big birds don't know what they're missing yet. Perfect lead in to part three..
