Some great descriptions here Richard, you could be describing the two crows that come to feed in our garden every morning, especially in the last stanza.
Being able to translate into poetry what you are seeing, is such a gift. You have that talent in bucket loads in this poem. I was with you all the way and very much enjoyed reading.
Feels like a true story of the way many people feel. Makes me glad I'm out of the rat race, as I hated the last job I had and couldn't wait to be made redundant.
I could relate to your writing, needing to leave home as soon as possible and moving away. Those early years I like you thought the only way to experience life was to get out there and take on the challenges that came my way. ...
Great to read such an interesting part of your young history. Making history is what writing is all about and I feel privillaged to have read yours Elsie.
you know I think you were born in the wrong era. Your words are so magical and give me a sense of Pre-Raphaelite which I so adore. Also the love you convey in this poem is so beautifully told.
I'm very much enjoying

I'm very much enjoying reading these chapters Richard. Gives great insight into another time, another place in history which always fascinates me.
I'm looking forward to finding out if there maybe love in Matties eyes.
Jenny.

What a great idea for a poem. Love the idea of the title, 'invisible air is cut and sown' kind of said it all for me.
Enjoyed and thank you for sharing.

Isn't it great to look back Richard. Those times when we could play all day and chase our dreams.
I enjoyed reading your poem and how you welcomed the snow.
