In Bulgaria our state health
Posted on Sat, 12 Aug 2023
In Bulgaria our state health service makes no provision for dentistry but from my experience our private dentists are extremely good and very cheap.
And waiting lists just don't exist for any aspect of our health care.
So if ever...

I like the way that the fence plank features as much in your poem as the bird and the meal do. Setting the scene helps the tale to unfold in the imagination.
I hope by now it's been rewarded with the stain.

This is great reading. So many emotional angles in it. More crises than a family can be expected to cope with but you've melded them so well.
I'm sorry, I didn't read this when you first put it up on the site. There's too much good stuff...

It was absloutely awful. It's still at the front of my mind. But if I'd have reacted in any way I'm sure I'd have found my face pressed to the road too.

Oh Di mate, this is heartbreaking.
The fact that these monsters are sitting around waiting for a reaction makes matters even worse.
Your words are perfect for describing what was there and what has happened but these stand out......

Yeah! Let's all hope for nasty things for them.
I'm sharpening up the pointy sticks for my voodoo dolls as I type.

Thank you for your comment IPFN. I found it very interesting, particularly the bit about Di's neighbours' car tyres. I think I'm a little bit afraid of you now. I want my mummy! Perhaps drinking too many double espressos has sent you a bit manic...

Good words. I can see vividly
Posted on Tue, 08 Aug 2023
Good words. I can see vividly the scene both inside and outside of the café, feel the atmosphere and smell the smells.
It's funny how you can't order happiness on a plate. It just turns up one day, unannounced.
