Pansies are amazing, I remember trying to draw one once with my new pencils and just going through the paper in the end, trying to get the depth of colour :0)

You highlight how even now purple is special, compared to ubiquitous orange...

All natural things in this one. Clever to think of sun making you brown! I bet that would appeal to a child. And not just gravy, thick gravy :0) And scuttling spiders. What great variety of emotions you evoke here!

wow, this is lovely! Particularly like your description of daffoldils as "golden, dazzling clumps" and the new lambs "dancing, exploring and urgently feeding"
