smouldering green eyes

Pitch black cats with smouldering green eyes were assosiated with witchcaft in the old days, that's probably why they are so scary. This one seems harmless enough. Quiet waters better safe than sorry.

Lovely. Beautiful. Although I do think you should give a stricter age restriction. The pattern of stanzas is rather unusual but I think I can make sense of it, It is has to do with a birth I think.
