Found the site in November 2011. Love the friendly and easy format. Write stories and the occasional poem. Have published four books, all available from Amazon. The East End Butcher Boy, Eastendbutchers Short Story Collection, The Men In The Shadows and Who Is Jack Winter.  Always amazed at the diversity of the site and the quality of the writing. Try to write as much as I can and like to try different styles. Hope you like my stories.

Ahh, my favourite year 1976. It must have been a year for middle aged men to have "that" moment. My Dad who was 43 with grey hair suddenly decided to have his hair "tinted". I came home from work to find a brown haired man at the kitchen table....

A big warm welcome to the site snichols. Great start. I liked the way you have put a capital H every time you use the word Her. Makes us say the word different, which I suppose is the point of the whole poem. Very sad subject but brilliantly...

You've written this so well that I feel I've known Kati for years. Relaxed, easy writing style that draws you in and you become absorbed by it. Really, really, enjoyed this. More please!

Really good Hayley. There is a sense of "tension" running all through this. The reader feels  "uncomfortable" for Clare. She's trying to fit in and become one of the gang but takes no real pleasure in it. We've all been there, both male and...

A big warm welcome to the site Riss Ryker. Enjoyed this very much. Some great lines, in fact too many to mention. Also loved the last three lines in which you sum up the whole thing. Great start.
