Hi Rachel,
just found the story of a woman who kills her stepson in order to prevent him eloping with her daughter, then buries his body underneath the juniper tree in their yard.
I thought your poem was a great representation of...
I can only echo insert's and luigi's comments. I admire the way you're able to weave together your own thoughts and those of these mysterious cave fish.
This is such a special write. I love the fact that you describe nature as giving us hope, because that's the way I feel. Loved the bit about the blackbirds and the robin. There's so much life in nature we just have to find time to look and soak...
There's such a mystery about that first stanza, I love the idea of the hares casting spells in hollowed hedgerows and drinking in the light before dawn.
Thank you insert. Yes there is so much to see and I'm sure there are more insects around than other years, the bees seem to be out in force along with many other flying insects.
