Jean's Stories

This the collection filled with my short stories or anything longer. Some of these stories are requests I wrote for people, if this is the case I labeled them as 'WC' before the actual title. However, there is plenty of totally original story ideas from me.

Comments

Dear Jean, just read chapter 1 and 2 shadow hearts, and a word of advice, read through your work carefully first before subbing. Both chapters contain a number of typos (wrong words used) and the tense jumps from present to past frequently. I suggest you seriously edit these then resub, as the story is lost in the poor grammar. Juliet

After the Bombs

Two figures stand out amongst the rubble hiding from the burning sky above. They walk towards one another as the sound of the falling shells crashing to the ground fades away.

Snack Time

I was always a little envious of them. Or as I'm quite ashamed to say”I was quite jealous of them. Jealousy is something I had tried to evade my entire life. It was one of the things that my parents had emphasized since about time I was in preschool. However. I was still jealous of them. Jealous of their ability to act. Jealous of their ability to don another self with ease. Even jealous of their ability to express themselves. I wasn't able to do any of these things. I had shared the same love of the theater that they did. Though I couldn't share that same love in the same way. This is probably why they had let me do their technical work for them. They allowed me to be their shadow. Do the work the work they couldn't do the work they couldn't do. I had become the unsung hero of the theater.

Xenosaga Prologue

It was a casual day on the Turkana dig, which meant that the weather was restlessly warm and chilling at night. Only few places offered any slight protection from the heat, Dr. Masuda's tent was one such place. Dr. Masuda had been in Kenya for the majority of the dig at Lake Turkana. The project had already been digging for weeks without any kind of reward as of yet. The signs had begun to show that the weather would soon be turning for the worst and that the dig would thusly have to be canceled. But Dr. Masuda and the other collaborators for the dig weren't just ready yet to throw in the towel on the dig. So on one of the final days of the proposed dig schedule that their long wait would soon pay off.

Hanged Man

It all began the day the hanged man said 'Hello' to me. ------------------------------------------ Back in those days I still lived at the church. I wasn't training to be a priest or anything of the sorts, to be honest it was far from it. I was only there since nobody else didn't care or didn't want to be burdened with the load and shame of being bestowed to the town orphan. It's because of that I was shoved into church under the watch of the ever present, Sister Caterina. It was Sister Caterina's self-imposed duty that she made me of my burden to her everyday, and fairly recently she has also tacked on new lectures about my neglecting the available work force for me. From the stories I've heard in town my father was much the same when he was my age. I guess that's where I get it from.

The Pig Story

Once upon a time in the hills of Kansas three close friends decided to do some parachuting off a cliff side. The three quickly drew out their parachutes; oddly enough one of their parachutes was a pig.

Prologue: Headphones

The sky had begun to darken, but my time was high. I hurried up my meal as I looked at my watch. I had to hurry if I was going to make it. I grabbed a napkin and began to wipe my face as I put my plate in the dishwasher and tossed my plastic cutlery into the trash.

Shadow Hearts: Chapter 1-Icaro

South Manchu, China”Same Year It's a dark night when a train passes through the countryside. It is a cold night, strange since it was only half-way through autumn that year. Not many people had said much of it since it had been a warm summer and they thought it only natural they'd have a cold autumn and winter.

WC-Cassidy's Red Right Ankle

"Are you feeling alright, dear? You don't look so well he said to me. I lay in his arms and he was gently stroking my hair. "I¦ think I'm fine. I was just thinking about things I replied.

WC-What it Means to be King

That morning had begun like any other. I was pleasantly enjoying my slumber when the light of the morning crept through my chamber curtains. It instantly dawned upon my face, pulling me from my sleep. "Confounded light! I yelled towards my curtains. "How dare you wake me?! The hatred against the light was quickly subsided since nothing could be done about it. The sun was a foolish thing that danced above the creatures of the earth. Nevertheless, I had been woken up and needed to prepare for the day. Hobbling across the room rang the maid servant's bell innumerable times. "Kimei! Kimei! Get in here, Kimei! I need to be tended to! I yelled hobbling across the room to my bed. Kimei entered the chamber just as I began to yell again.

Mouthful

I could feel the rain pour down on me as I stood there, shaking it in my hands. I opened my mouth; after all, I knew I had no other choice. It was hard to put in my mouth.

Ticking Watch

I looked out on the town. A large distortion of gray, that’s all it ever was and that’s all it’ll ever be.
