The sky had begun to darken, but my time was high. I hurried up my meal as I looked at my watch. I had to hurry if I was going to make it. I grabbed a napkin and began to wipe my face as I put my plate in the dishwasher and tossed my plastic cutlery into the trash.
I sped into my room, grabbed my coat and put my headphones over my ears. I opened up my CD player and double checked to see if she was in there. She was.
I was slipping on my shoes next to the door when my mom started her splurge of questions. "Where are you going at this hour? Gee, can't you see that it's almost dark out? she asked harshly. "Do you want to get yourself killed by some drunk lunatic?
"Mom, don't worry. I'm fine. I've got my first meeting for the club, tonight. Don't you remember me telling you about it a few day? You said it was fine, since I'm just taking the bus, and the bus is just around the corner. Remember? I said, putting on my last shoe standing up from the stool.
"Oh yes, I do remember that now. Well¦Just be careful now. I hope you have fun at your meeting.
"Thanks, mom. Don't worry I'll be careful I said as I opened the door, walking out after giving a quick smile to my mom. I felt a quick breeze once the door had shut behind me. I looked down at my CD player and pushed play. I began to walk as hear soothing voice fills my head.
