I liked the language, the imagery, and the metaphor - 'A year of three seasons is like a proposal from a one eyed rat.' I don't know what it all means but the lines remain with me. Well done.

Thanks gletherby. I found it an easy read, but I was waiting for the twist, (being of a mordant temperament), but it never came, it was describing what a care home should be, rather than what some of us have experineced.

The Allowing is the key

A deep poem, that requires several readings. And for me the key is in the title - to allow the letting go; a bit like relaxing ones self, not always easy to do. Dougie
