X-Men poem. Iceman was one of the original five X-Men, and could freeze the moisture in the air. He often rode on an 'ice slide'.

The newspapers were full of these things

More sci-fi b-movie poetry. The form here is 'tankatoum' - a combination of a tanka (Japanese, like a haiku, 5 lines, syllables of 5-7-5-7-7) and a pantoum (4 verses - lines 2 & 4 of verse 1 repeat as lines 1 & 3 of verse 2 and so on.) It's tricky. Try it.
