Thank you Turlough but I think that would just prove to those around me that I was completely bonkers !
And yet again you have educated me, I didn't know Offenbach wrote the can-can. I thought it was Toulouse Lautrec.
Wow Claudine is that a thing ? People not doing acts of kindness out of actual kindness, but in order to get ticks or likes or whatever it is ? That strikes me as really sad.
However, I can see your point, and I shall take it as...
I love your diary Turlough and I really look forward to it !
Just a teensy point. In the last entry I think Madame P has lost a friend. As in "Priyatelkata’s father-in-law’s burnt remains". I think it was her friend's father in law....
Such an optimistic time too, the 1960's. The Second World War was over, living standards were shooting up. We had a television (black and white of course) and then a car and then a fridge. That seems a strange order of priority, but I think...
I used to love the smell of Lux soap, especially when you took the paper wrapper off. And the shape of it was very ergonomic (not that I would have know that word then of course). It was so smooth and just fitted ...
A lovely poem Sue, but if you wrote it while you were at University it seems rather sad that such a young person would feel that way when you have all your life, and many doors, ahead of you.

That Pesky Stress

Jenny I think there are two separate issues here. One is the physical problem with your lung, and the other is the psychological state you are in.
So far as the physical problem with your lung goes – let the NHS handle this. They are on...

Just what I think Jane - it

Just what I think Jane - it would be funny if it wasn't all such a tragedy for the people in the countries being hit.
Trump trying to get credit for re-opening a waterway which wasn't even closed two months ago, before he started his war...

And animal welfare, Drew. I'm not sure I'm happy about dinosaurs being kept in captivity to be gawked at by humans. They should be roaming free.
