A lovely crafted and inspiring poem, Linda. I especially also like the first stanza with the description of the bustling crowd and the happy couples compared to the speaker's loneliness.

That is so interesting. I looked up the photograph (found it under his sub-section 'Assimilation') and looked up about sociable weaver birds, so have learnt some! I wasn't sure about 'Out-dated rest points', does it just refer to the telegraph...
