Wonderful poem penny. I could relate to so much in your words. It's wonderful to be able to explore our imaginations and dreams...where would we be without them? I also like the rhyming in your poem, it sets it off nicely.

there's no way you are thick at all. This was just a bit of fantasy talk.

It means the prisoner escaped at night and crept into some bushes to sleep not really knowing where they are. When the prisoner awakes and creeps...

I thought that last line summed up your apocalyptic poem, that even after we're long gone, nature will go on. A poem also describing how small humans actually are in the grand scheme of survival.
