Hi Turlough, Sorry about your accident with the bike. My partner went head first over the handlebars of his bike riding down a hill, he ended up with his arm in a sling for a couple of weeks and couldn't drive.

I've read this poem quite a few times now, feeling it's telling of someone or something secretly buried that's long forgotton about, but I'm not sure what. I hope you don't think I'm being naive, but I would love to know the story...
I agree with Di when she said: 'I love the rich variety you evoke, and their ENTHUSIASM.' It sums up my feelings too, but I couldn't have put it any better myself.

Your poor young children must have been frantic with all those black insects flying around them. I would have felt the same if it were me.
I do like the Bularian name Rapitsa, it reminds me of the story of Rapunzel letting down her golden...
