Hi Dougie,
I can imagine a lot of hard thinking has gone into this Tanka poem. The rules to me don't make it easy at all. I admire you for having a go, and putting together an engaging read.
Great read Paul. Have you ever seen a ghost? It's just that the story comes across so well. I know there are people out there that can see spirits that others can't.
The Golden Fleece sounds like my kind of pub...full of the atmosphere...
So much wisdom in this eye opener of a poem. We humans think we have the upper hand, but when it comes to nature, the natural world will triumph in the end.
Elena in the mountains sounds like a perfect trip to take on a birthday. Those narrow lanes, steep hills and dense forests I imagine are wonderful. I like the photo of the goats too.
