Sound of storm carries restless dreams as zestful spirits run and play gathering in empty streets. Rollicking in wet grass verges. Down pour rampant...
This is such an endearing read. Living through such a lasting relationship with a real friend who passes can be so sad. But remembering the great times had together is always the best conclusion.
Hi Paul, loved this poem, full of drama and haunting discovery. I think Po would be very grateful to think he inspired this poem. You've really captured his essence.
It seems to me Cece and St John are on different pages. I wonder if they actually talked deeply enough about having this baby. She needs to be careful, because at the moment St John holds all the cards.
I thought you captured Cece's thoughts so well in this part. I also found it fascinating how you described her as a grain of salt inside a giant mouth...a great metaphore.
Time slips away like shifting sand, that's such a fitting sentiment. We never forget those loved ones that have passed over, but time has a way of healing the sad memories, so that we only recall those good times.

Your story was so full of clear descriptions, that I felt like I was there. The ending was perfect too.
Some parts reminded me of an old film called Soylent Green. Don't know if you've heard of it, but I think it would be your kind of film...

Such a depressing future that I hope isn't a sign of things to come Paul.
I'll look at it as just being a great imaginative story.

It's good to beable to read St John's thoughts, and how he percieves his life. You've done a great job at communicating them too.
Believable facts of a midlife crisis...that ring so true.
Still very much enjoying.
Jenny.
