Eastern Sky

Eastern Sky
Fractured skies. White lightening
Lights up buildings.
And for a moment
We are blinded.
Everything is shrouded.
Cordite…
Monochrome desert.
Sounds of thunder
Echo in tumult.
Crescendo of rage.
Can you hear?
Guns in the East.
Dreams fade of Palestine.
Carrion feed from the dead
As stars watch in silence
A lament for the lost.

Sorry if I'm rambling.
Jenny.

"Dreams fade of Palestine"
I heard on the radio someone in authority in Israel, talking about whom they would allow to govern Gaza. (I think he was one of the more moderate). He said a "pragmatic" Palestinian, which I guess means someone as you say, who no longer has any hope
